I have been on both sides of the camera and the pitch for 25 years.

I have written the proposal, sweated the bid, and waited on the silence. I have also been the one reviewing the stack of proposals and deciding who gets the job.

That is the whole reason this site exists.

My name is Rob Springer. I am the Founder and Executive Producer of RS Media Group and Film Studios, and I have spent more than 25 years in broadcast and corporate video production.

I started at CBS Sports in New York. Since then, my work has appeared on CBS, HBO, National Geographic, the History Channel, and VH1. I have won three Telly Awards. I've also spent time on the other side of the lens with on-camera credits in Gotham Knights, The Oval, and Queen Sugar, which taught me more about what makes a shot work than any manual ever did.

Where It Started

Today I run a full production facility out of Spartanburg, South Carolina, though the work takes me all over the country. The studio includes a 25-by-14-foot LED volume stage, RED Komodo cinema cameras, a broadcast control room, and Henry Street Studio, downtown Spartanburg's first full-service podcast studio.

I am not a marketer who learned about video. I am a producer who still shoots, still bids, and still runs productions every week.

Why I Built The Corporate Video Blueprint Series

Here is what I kept seeing.

Talented producers, people who can absolutely shoot and cut circles around the competition, losing corporate work to people with weaker reels and better proposals. Getting ghosted after a pitch that felt like a lock. Underpricing good jobs out of fear. Signing contracts that left them exposed when a client changed their mind.

None of that is a talent problem. It is a business problem, and nobody teaches it. Film school teaches you to make the thing. It does not teach you how to win the job, protect the work, or get paid what it is worth.
